I will start...I never thought I would be riding a 'crotch rocket' and when my husband introduced me too it, it still took me a little while to warm up to it. But I soon got tired of riding on the back, that sucked! So I got a dirt bike and learned on that, seeing as I'm not good at driving a stick shift; I needed to learn the basics. I rode that for a year then my husband moved up to a 1000 and gave me his GSXR 750, I LOVE IT! As you all know, it is an amazing feeling! This was in August 06, I love to learn more and more everytime I get on the bike.
Got my endorsement and first bike of my own in June of 07'. Before that I only rode my 4-wheeler. Bikes have been a big part of my family as my dad started his own bike shop in Palm Harbor in 1971. I moved back to Florida a few years ago and dated a guy who had a sport bike. 2 rides as a passenger was all it took for me to say, I want my own bike! Now I have over 28K miles of street/track riding in 3 years. Met my boyfriend thru bikes, and we enjoy riding with the family. My parents, both in their mid-60's ride, as well as my brother and my 14 year old neice (scooter). My current stable includes: ZZR600, Honda Hawk GT650, Honda Rebel. My next bike, the MV Agusta F4 or the Ducati Desmosedici (one can always dream...right??)
I probably began as a passenger on my dad's bikes at the age of 3 or so. My dad has been riding for as long as I can remember. I don't think he's ever been without a bike. I started riding dirt bikes when I was about 10. Believe it or not my 7 year old brother is the one who taught me how to ride after a one day lesson from my dad. Siblings & trust, boy I tell ya :-) So I guess its safe to say that riding must of always of been in my blood. However I took like a 10 year hiatus from riding when I moved to Philly. Last year I took the MSF classes for safety reasons, to get back in to the swing of things and of course the insurance discounts lol. About a month after I completed class I bought my first bike '09 Kaw Ninja 650R Passion Red.
Hola!! A esa edad tenia 17.

I had to put this in Google Translator, lol!
"Hi! It all started when I got to my girlfriend of a biker. I always had liked racing and offroad. But cuandomi boyfriend came with his bike I fell in love with them ... One in my family bike handles more than me. And all thanks to my boyfriend who taught me a katana 600. At that age I was 17. But Katie, I started to bore me to be back ... and always told him to do or stopping willies .. or endings are not as they say. But if not for anything that bored me .. and he said I could borrow his bike. Even my 24 years I bought my first bike a GS500, then replace it with a f4. And right now my 26 years I'm looking for another bike."
I got my first taste of riding back in CA when visiting my sister as a teenager. Also road a three wheeler but dumped it and it rolled on top of me in a ditch so after that I wasnt too keen on three wheelers. I have always had boyfriends that rode and was the chick on the back until i bought my first bike at 18. It was so cute....a white, pink and aqua Honda 250. What a chick bike! I had that for a couple years and bought a yz125 and learned dirt. Dirt experience sure does help when getting near misses on a street bike! I have saved many an accident :P I've had several bikes up until I stopped riding in 1998. My beautiful baby boy was born and being a single parent, couldn't afford to ride. After meeting my husband, I am back on and loving it. I'm currently riding my 07 zx10r and am very happy with her. Thats right, its a her :D she's my biotch.
I HAVE RIDDEN MY FAIR SHARE ON THE BACK OF BIKES OVER THE YEARS. BUT IT WASN'T UNTILL I MET MY HUSBAND "BY ACCIDENT" THAT I STARTED LIKEN THE SPORT BIKES. STORY GOES LIKE THIS, HE WAS ON A 96' KATANA AND I WAS IN MY WORK VAN. THERE WAS A JERK IN AN OLD TRUCK BEHIND HIM THAT BUMPED THE ASS OF HIS BIKE. I SEEN IT AND ROLLED DOWN MY WINDOW TO LET THE BIKER KNOW THAT I WAS GETTING THE TRUCKS TAG NUMBER AND CALLING THE COPS ON HIM. I THEN PLACED MY VAN BETWEEN THE BIKE AND THE JERKS TRUCK. THIS PISSED THE TRUCK DRIVER OFF SO BAD THAT HE RAMED MY VAD. WE ALL PULLED OVER - COPS CAME AND LEFT- AT THE END THE BIKE DRIVER ASKED ME FOR MY NUMBER AND THAT WAS THAT. I RODE ON THE BACK OF HIS BIKE FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND THEN HE WANTED TO TEACH ME TO RIDE, I WAS GAME. BEEN RIDEN MY OWN EVER SINCE. THAT WAS 5 YEARS AGO...AND STILL COUNTING!

That's unique!
Back in January 2004 my ex-boyfriend wanted a bike so we went together to get one - he picked it out (at least he let me pick the color) and I made the downpayment. We split up a short time later and since I'd made the downpayment I told him either I get the bike or repay me. He didn't have the money so I kept the bike and slowwwwwwly learned how to ride it. I started learning on the sidewalk, then around the neighborhood and eventually started riding it to work. Looking back I wish I'd started on a 250 or a dirt bike but it all worked out and I still have it today, 34k miles later. Funny though that something that my ex wanted caused me to meet my husband :D
I rode as a pillion on my husbands bikes for years when we lived in Asia. I really enjoyed it. When we returned to Canada Greg purchased the ZX-14 and I again was the pillion. I always said that I wanted to ride so one day he came home with the study guide and he had enrolled me in the Motorcycle training program. He said if I like it that we will find a suitable first bike and if I do not that I never have to ride again. I did the training and loved it. In Septemeber of 08 I got my first bike!! A 2008 GS500F. I used that for the remainder of that season and the 09 season. I traded that bike in March of this year on my 2009 Yamaha FZ6R. I am really enjoying riding and plan on upgrading again sometime next year. Greg wants me to take his ZX14 ... perhaps I will....
I guess I never posted in here..

I grew up in MI near a motocross track called Redbud, so I spent a lot of time there watching races, though I never got into it myself (unfortunately I was more into horses at that age). However I did ride my CT70 all over creation, as well as the occasional snowmobile & three-wheeler. After I grew up, I got my first street bike and my MC endorsement in Fla in 1989, and never looked back.

What was your first street bike? I had my first ever ride on a bike, a gsxr in 1989. Crazy boy put me on the back for a ride home from school.
