Better options are coming out all the time.   I am going to get these .

Has anyone see them live?

Saw them at IndyGP two years ago, but did not try them on. I've considered them also, but I ended up getting those alpinestar leather "cat" pants on ebay for $40.00. They actually keep my legs cooler than jeans when i'm riding, it's really only when i'm off the bike that they get hot. I don't even like to ride in jeans anymore, I know I'm better protected in the leather.
Katie, Rose has those and likes them but I think she ordered the medium and they're a bit snug for her. I tried them on and they were tight on me too. I think she'd like to sell them and buy a larger pair. I know she'd let you try them on if you want. Let me know and I'll call her.
I just bought the silver Olympia airglide 3 mesh pants. I always wore the Joe Rocket Cleo, but the only color option was black. The silver is so much cooler. Plus it zips to the jacket and has a liner. So it can be worn all year round here in Florida. Barney's in St Pete has the airglide 2 on sale for around $150, size 6 and 10. As of last week anyway!
Ninja, what size do pants do you typically wear? What color does she have?

I usually wear size 8 but I've read on other sites that they run small and you should order a size larger than you normally wear. Rose's are black.

**Note: Sizing runs a little small. You may want to order a size larger than normal and use the pant's adjustment features to customize the fit to your needs. (See Customer Reviews for more information)
i thought i replied to this, but it's not showing up, here's my .02:
Have the store get the inside measurement of the waist. If they say the pant is a size 4 (26" inside waist measurement) and you are a 27", go the next size up. that will be your most accurate way of knowing what size you need.
Silver - Good idea. I need to know where on the waist to measure also, because the reviews say they sit lower than other riding pants (which would be good for me) I'll give them a call. One problem is they are not numbered sizes there xs, sm, m, l, xl

Ninja - thanks, that helps, gives me a better idea on the sizes. I'm going to get the black and white ones.

Well I decided to try the Scorpion Savanaugh pants (all black) after all.  I ordered the Large (I wear a size 8/10) and they fit really good - lower cut, almost hip huggers.  The leg is long but I'm only 5' 2" so I expected it.  I tuck them under once and they work fine.  I paid $133 at Leatherup.com which included a 10% discount & $10 pref customer discount.  Score!

I also ordered these Xelement pants w/armor to try in case I didn't like the Scorpions.  I decided to keep them too because the price was excellent ($54) and the size 8 fit good.  Higher waist:  http://www.leatherup.com/p/Womens-Leather-Pants--Chaps/Ladies-Black...
