I bought a Honda CM450 E 1984 vintage. It will do for awhile, but am hoping my hub will give me his 750 Honda Magna, & he can buy whatever he wants. Sounds like a good thing, now if only he would take the bait. Lol

I too, was put on the 250 Rebel for my course. It did get me through the course, but when I was able to purchase a bike,  I jumped right in and got the 750 Shadow Aero. I knew the 250 would not have the power I needed for the rides I wanted to take. Go for it. A friend of mine bought  a Rebel, practiced for a while than sold it and traded up!

I rode a Rebel for my traffic course & road test, too under powered & bad vibration on the highway. I think my next bike is going to be a 600/650 or 750. Probably will be cruiser style because of my lack of height.

I ride a 'vintage' 1984 450 Honda CM. I love the cruiser style, easy to ride. Fairly new to riding, driven a scoot for 10 months, but have stepped up to a bike. Rode on the back of my hubs cruiser bike forever & then decided I needed to see the view from the front.

Thanks for the suggestion of the sister bike! Nice idea! Will check into a group in this area, or heh! perhaps a drive down to Florida is in order :-)

I killed the 250 rebel in August :(  Same thing with my ninja 250. My husband says I require at least 600 cc's! heh heh

Tbjammin, when you have a bike that fits you just right, don't trade it, get it a sister ;)

I love my Shadow.. sometimes I think of trading up but it just fits, right height, good arm extension and well balanced.  Where are you girls located? Anyone in Rhode Island or is mostly everyone from the Florida area?

I have a Honda Shadow and a GXR but yes, the cruiser is much more comfortable :)
