I am very pleased with this tailbag.  It has a clean look on the bike, secure attachment, quick release and plenty of cargo space.

Installation

Installation was a bit perplexing at first since the straps do not have hooks, they have loops so I had to use some creativity to fasten the bag to the bike.  Each bike will be different, it should be no problem installing on a sportbike passenger seat.   The bag comes with extra padding for the straps and the bottom of the bag to protect your bike.

Pros

  • Quick release straps so you don't need to remove everything to get the bag off at quick stops.
  • The bag keeps it shape when empty.
  • Nice interior straps and compartments for storage, so your stuff stays organized.
  • Comfortable carrying handle.
  • Extra padding so the straps won't damage your bike.

Cons

  • The instructions do not adequately describe installation and the extra pieces,  its a guessing game.
  • No exterior pockets.   A small one for quick access items would be handy.

I would definitely recommend this bag if you are looking for motorcycle luggage for your short day trips.  It is good looking, well constructed and just the right size.

Quick Update:  The bag has been great, the rain cover it comes with, not so much.   If blew off and was lost after a few minutes of riding in the rain.  I don't what they were thinking, it was a very loose fit.

I received some questions through email, here they are with my responses:

Have you found the straps mark the edge of the seat (my net does)? No, it doesn't tighten enough and the straps are wide with extra padding.

Do the hooks damage the subframe paint (again, my net does)? I don't hook it to the subframe.  I took off the seat and ran the straps under it, this was tricky, I have them looped together with a carabiner (I'd take a picture, but I don't have the bike with me right now, a friend is transporting it back from my track day)
The straps stay in place, so you don't need to remove the seat to take off the bag.  Its not quite as tight to the seat as I would like, it tends to loosen and push back, but its not going anywhere, its secured very well.

Most importantly, do you think it can fit a 9.5x7.3" ipad2? I cannot tell as the bag tapers to a point.
Unfortunately, I think the taper is going to hurt you, I cut a sheet of paper to size and it hangs over.
I attached a pic.
